Orange infused Gin & Simple Syrup!

It's citrus season!! So here is what I do to celebrate the flavors of winter!

ORANGE Infused GIN!

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 oranges
  • 1.75 milliliters of gin
PROCESS:
  1. Peel the oranges
  2. Using your paring knife, remove as much of the white pith from the orange peel as you can.
  3. Cut the orange peel into long strips and place in bottle.
  4. Cover with gin place cap to make air tight.
  5. Let sit for 1 week.

ORANGE Simple Syrup!

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup of fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 2 cups of sugar
PROCESS:
  1. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, orange juice and sugar to a boil.
  2. Turn the heat to low and stir constantly until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture is clear, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remember - the longer you boil it, the thicker the syrup will be when cooled.
